Terms of Service (Required)

Article 1 (Purpose)

The Essentory Terms of Service (hereinafter referred to as the "Terms") include these terms and any other additional terms that may be added to the "Service" in the future, including the policies and guidelines listed below.

The Essentory Terms of Service aim to clarify the legal relationship between the company (hereinafter referred to as the "Company") and the users who have entered into a service agreement (hereinafter referred to as the "Member") regarding the use of Essentory (hereinafter referred to as the "Service") provided by the Company through its website. The Company will make these Terms and its Privacy Policy easily accessible on the Service's main page.

Article 2 (Creating and Using an "Essentory Account")

An "Essentory Account" refers to the login account created by a Member to use the Service provided by the Company. This account is created when a Member agrees to these Terms, enters account information, and completes the Company's verification process (e.g., email confirmation).

An Essentory Account is required for smooth access to the Service, although certain features may be available without an account. Once an Essentory Account is created, Members can access all services linked to the account. However, for new services, Members may need to agree to additional service-specific terms upon their first login.

Article 3 (Formation of Service Agreement)

The service agreement (hereinafter "Agreement") is formed when an individual (hereinafter "Applicant") agrees to these Terms, submits a membership application, and the Company approves the application. Once approved, the Applicant becomes a Member and can use the Service under these Terms.

During the application process, the Company may collect personal information such as email addresses, and Applicants must provide accurate information. The collection, use, and storage of personal data are governed by the Privacy Policy.

The Company may refuse or delay approval if there are concerns about mechanical access, account misuse, false information, or evidence of service abuse. Additionally, the Company does not provide services to children under 14 years old (for Korean nationals) or under 16 years old (for non-Korean nationals).

Article 4 (Amendments to the Terms)

The Company may amend these Terms within the scope allowed by applicable laws. If changes are made, the Company will notify Members via the Service, specifying the effective date and reasons for the changes. If the changes are disadvantageous to Members, the Company will notify Members at least 30 days in advance via email, consent pop-ups during login, or other electronic means.

Members who do not agree to the amended Terms may terminate the Agreement and stop using the Service. If a Member does not explicitly express their refusal before the effective date after proper notification, they will be deemed to have accepted the amended Terms.

Article 5 (Service Changes and Suspension)

The Company may modify the Service as needed. If the changes significantly impact Members' rights and obligations, the Company will follow the notification process outlined in Article 4.

The Company may temporarily suspend the Service for system maintenance, replacement, breakdown, communication issues, or other operational reasons. Regular maintenance may also result in temporary service suspension. Additionally, the Company may terminate the Service for business reasons.

Article 6 (Advertising)

The Company may display advertisements for itself or third parties within the Service.

Article 7 (Member Rights and Obligations)

Members may use the content (e.g., feeds, posts, events, and paid content) provided through the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. Except for these limited rights, Members do not acquire any ownership rights to the content.

Members must not:

  • Create separate video files using the content.

  • Post content on the internet without authorization.

  • Share content with third parties.

  • Impersonate the Company or spread false information.

  • Engage in any illegal or inappropriate activities as defined by relevant laws.

Article 9 (Service Restrictions)

The Company may temporarily or permanently restrict Members from using the Service if they:

  • Violate Member obligations under Article 7.

  • Breach content policies outlined in Article 8.

  • Commit criminal acts related to the Service.

Article 10 (Company Rights, Responsibilities, and Disclaimers)

The Company retains all rights to the Service.

The Company is not liable for service interruptions due to natural disasters, war, or other force majeure events. The Company is also not responsible for damages resulting from Member use of content unless caused by the Company's intentional misconduct or gross negligence.
